Summing up the unit and the academic year

The last two weeks we have been working on our summative task.
Our task - Design a board game to show the journey food takes to reach our tables. Along with the journey we were also required to include any two math concepts we had covered through the year......and of course as part of the  language integration we had to write the instructions/rules for the designed board game.

We began with researching about the journey of the food, planning and designing the game, writing the instructions .....

Putting together the game and required parts

Finally the board games were ready to be played....

We took time to reflect on our past year and put in our thoughts through a letter for the upcoming third graders.

In Math, we have been working on putting together a tuck shop as part of our assessment on money.
As a class we came up with chores and ways that can help us earn money to buy things from the tuck shop.

After a week of earning money, finally it was time to buy things from the class  'Tuck shop'
What a fun way to learn how to add, subtract and budget your money.

PYP dance and PE assembly

In our final assembly of the year we bid goodbye to all the departing teachers.

A short glimpse into some of the performances -

We hosted some students from the french school to participate in the 'Francophone' . It was an amazing experience for our french students.Thank you Ms. Patricia and Ms. Clemence for organizing such an exciting event.

As part of their unit, Grade 5 organised a carnival. It was superrrrrr fun!
Thank you Ms. Cecilia and Grade 5 for inviting us to be a part of the carnival.

To collect some lovely memories, we  each wrote things about our class mates. Everyone collected their strip from each other and put them together to make a lovely frame as a keepsake of the year.

We finally earned our Digital passport certificate and our poem books!!!

A short movie to showcase some moments of the awesome journey of the past year.
Will miss each and everyone of you. All the best for all your future endeavors.
